CCC certification is also known as China Compulsory Certification, abbreviated as CCC. It is a product qualification assessment system implemented in China in accordance with laws and regulations to protect the personal safety of consumers and national security, strengthen product quality management.

Starting from October 1, 2019, explosion-proof electrical products will be included in the scope of CCC certification management; Starting from October 1, 2020, compulsory enforcement will begin; Products belonging to the explosion-proof CCC catalog must obtain the corresponding explosion-proof CCC certificate, and the certification process includes type inspection, initial factory inspection, and post certification supervision.

1Type inspection:Enterprises design products that meet explosion-proof requirements based on their own functions and in combination with GB3836 or GB12476 standards. Explosion proof types can be intrinsic safety, explosion-proof, increased safety, or a combination of multiple explosion-proof types. The sample requirements are to be sent to the designated laboratory of CCC for inspection according to different certification units and types.

2Initial factory inspection:After passing the type inspection, the certification agency generally requires the enterprise to undergo factory inspection within three months. The main purpose is to conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to determine whether the production quality assurance capability and product consistency control capability meet certification requirements.

3Supervision after certification:The post certification supervision content includes tracking inspection and monitoring ozone testing (sampling or inspection at the production site). Based on the classification results of the production enterprise and the actual situation, the post certification supervision content can be one or a combination of both.

2、 Explosion proofCCCCertification unit division

It refers to a series of products with identical or similar certification characteristics that can be evaluated for compliance based on the same standard. Only products from the same certification unit can be placed on a CCC certificate. It is commonly understood as a series application, similar to a high center motor or a distribution box with the same explosion-proof shell. The certification unit determines the unified characteristics of the product, which are closely related to the certification cost and complexity.

3、 Explosion proofCCCCertification sample delivery requirements

1Explosion proof type“D "Principle of sample delivery:

(1) Send samples according to product subcategories, and send samples separately for different product subcategories;
(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external sizes (motor according to center height or power one large and one small), shell materials, product specifications (motor not applicable), etc., should be sampled separately.

(3) Sample quantity: 1 metal shell sample, 1 empty shell sample; The number of samples sent for non-metallic components of the motor should meet the standard requirements.

2Increased safety type“E "Principle of sample delivery:

(1) Send samples according to product subcategories, and send samples separately for different product subcategories;

(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external sizes (motor according to center height or power one large and one small), shell materials, product specifications (motor not applicable), etc., should be sampled separately.

(3) Sample quantity: 1 sample for metal shell and 2 samples for non-metal shell; Three resistance heating elements and resistance heater products are required, and four samples are required for the chemical resistance test of Class I electrical equipment.

3Intrinsic safety type“I "Principle of sample delivery:

(1) Send samples according to product subcategories, and send samples separately for different product subcategories;

(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external dimensions, shell materials, product specifications, etc., should be sampled separately.

(3) Sample quantity: 2 complete samples. If it is a battery powered product, an additional 10 sets of samples need to be sent for the battery;
